ConvertKit pricing is based on the number of subscribers stored. If you’re a blogger or small business with a rapidly growing list, expect your email bill to increase significantly over time.
Sendinblue pricing is based on the number of emails sent. You can stored an unlimited number of subscribers — even on the free plan — without this affecting your overall cost.
Both solutions have a similar starting price but as you can see below, ConvertKit quickly becomes a lot more expensive than Sendinblue as your subscriber base grows.
It’s also worth noting that ConvertKit doesn’t let you send transactional emails like password resets and order updates. For this you’ll need to pay for an extra service. With Sendinblue on the other hand you can manage both marketing and transactional emails as part of your monthly plan.

Sendinblue’s free plan lets you send 300 emails per day, store unlimited subscribers, and set marketing automation workflows for up to 2,000 contacts.
ConvertKit’s free plan lets you store and send email campaigns to up to 1,000 subscribers, though you can unlock more subscribers with their referral program. Features are limited on this plan with no access to automation tools. You won’t be able to use integrations like ecommerce plugins either, which is possible on the Sendinblue Free plan.

Sendinblue comes complete with all the features you need to create visually stunning emails. You’ll have access to three different editors: drag and drop, plain text, and HTML. Designing an email with Sendinblue is an easy and intuitive process.
ConvertKit specializes in plain-text emails so their editor isn’t ideal if you’re looking to design anything more than a standard email layout. And if you want to start from a template, there are only three basic designs to choose from.
You can add custom HTML blocks within ConverKit’s plain-text email editor or code your own emails using their HTML editor. But you’ll need the technical knowledge to do so. If coding is your thing, Sendinblue’s HTML editor lets you view and edit the source code of your email so you can customize it any way you want.

Sendinblue and ConvertKit both have robust email automation capabilities with an easy-to-use workflow editor. You can set up autoresponders (e.g. welcome email series) or complex if/then/else email sequences with either platform.
However, Sendinblue offers more options for workflow triggers such as page visits on your website. You can even set up automated lead scoring to monitor interest and send messages at the optimal time for conversion. With Sendinblue’s all-in-one platform you can also integrate SMS messages into your automations.

Both Sendinblue and ConvertKit offer unlimited customizable signup forms to which you can attach as many different content upgrades and opt-in incentives as you need. You can also collect any data you like with custom fields and use this to segment subscribers for more personalized emails.
With Convertkit you only have one list, which you can separate using tags and segments. Sendinblue lets you create multiple distinct lists, which will be an easier way to organize contacts for some businesses.
With Sendinblue multi-list subscription forms help you stay GDPR compliant by grouping subscribers according to consent for different newsletters, promotions, etc. This makes sure they’ll only receive what they signed up for.
